Forest Bathing & Nature Therapy @ Tablerock
Time & Location
About the Event
Limited Space. Pre-Purchase Tickets at The Nature Co. of Salado.
You won't need any soap for this rejuvenating event! We've partnered with SCL and Tablerock Festival of Salado for our first Forest Bathing/Nature Therapy retreat. Kortnee Whitehawk, an Association of Nature and Forest Therapy certified guide and consultant will lead this outdoor experience.
Forest Therapy, is inspired by the research-based Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku. The hands-on experience supports healing and wellness through immersion in nature. Numerous studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, cardiovascular and immune system improvement, and enrichment of mood, cognition, communication, and creativity.
Kortnee Whitehawk, who also holds degrees in health, wellness, and education as well as psychology, will guide participants in a mindful walk to connect with Nature along Tablerock’s Nature Trail. The two-hour outdoor sensory experience will culminate on The Nature Co. deck at 371 S. Main St. overlooking Salado’s peaceful creek. Light refreshments will be served during a bonus session featuring how to bring the healing power of Nature into your work or home space. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Table Rock's nonprofit organization. A gift bag is also included with each ticket purchased.
